Capacity Building Workshop on Design and Modelling

The College of Science and Technology successfully conducted a nine-day Capacity Building Workshop on Design and Modelling from 20 to 30 January 2026 in collaboration with Sustainable and Resilient Building Division (SRBD), Department of Human Settlement (DHS), Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MoIT).  The workshop was participated by 40 Engineers, Architects, and Urban Planners from RoIDs, Thromdes, and other relevant organizations, fostering cross-sectoral learning and strengthening collaboration among professionals involved in planning, design, and infrastructure development.

The sessions were facilitated through a combination of theoretical concepts and hands-on practical exercises using Autodesk Revit Architecture and Structure, focusing on BIM-based design, coordination, and documentation workflows. This capacity building initiative not only enhanced the technical competencies of participants but also aligned with the Ministry’s goals of digital transformation and BIM adoption, supporting more efficient, coordinated, and sustainable infrastructure development in Bhutan.
